Today we have completed the second of two Tell It Right, Start It Right presentations, together with the national Down’s Syndrome Association, to over 100 midwives, health visitors, paediatricians and other professionals. This fantastic training opportunity was funded by our People’s Projects Lottery grant.

As well as some informative guidance on delivering the news of a positive diagnosis of Down’s syndrome, and a lot of information about what having Down’s syndrome means, some amazing and brave parents from our group stood up and told their stories, and we presented our What I Wish I’d Known book and information about our support group.  The professionals shared their stories and experiences to make it such a productive session, and everyone we spoke to told us how much they had learned, and about all of the advice that they will put into place in their practice.  We are very proud today!
