Christina is at mainstream high school and will be taking several GCSE’s at the end of year 11. Christina writes, in her own words, about school, her hobbies and her future…
“My name is Christina. I am 14. I live at home with my mum, dad and older sister. We have four pet chickens. I called mine Snow White because she is white with black feathers around her neck.
I go to high school. I love going to school to see my friends. I like science and drama, but I don’t like maths. I go to school in a taxi and I have a teaching assistant to help me in my lessons, even in PE. I don’t like it when it gets busy and crowded at lunchtime, but I can go in a quiet room with others to eat my lunch.
On a Tuesday I go to Guides and on a Wednesday I go to dance. On Thursday I usually go to the cinema. I love watching films. I watch a lot at home. My favourite film is Star Trek. I love Chris Pine, Karl Urban and Zachary Quinto. I like to Google the actors and find out things about them and other films they are in. I also like listening to music. I have a tablet I like to use.
I don’t know what I am going to do when I leave high school at 16. School are looking into courses at colleges. When I am an adult I will leave home and live somewhere else but I don’t know yet.”
