Today, two of our Trustees, Alexis Sharp and Andrea Arnold, had a really positive meeting with midwifery and screening leads at Pinderfields Hospital to discuss training and information. We are hoping to work together to improve the information available to families at the point of diagnosis, and have left WDDSSG literature and copies of our book, What I Wish I’d Known, to be distributed to families. We shared leaflets and posters directing families to the Positive About Down Syndrome web site which includes real-life family stories from around the country, and we have made great plans for sharing good practice stories to local midwifery teams alongside our future training. A brighter future!!
